Changes to Over-the-Counter Drug Policy
Tuesday, 19 November 2002

Effective November 20th, 2002 North Country Academy will no longer administer Tylenol, Motrin, or any other over-the-counter medication without a doctor's note on file. North Country Academy was informed during a meeting with the Office of Children and Family services about the new requirements regarding medication. It is acceptable to have a letter/note on file giving North Country Academy permission (signed by the pediatrician) to give over-the-counter medication as needed. This will eliminate the need for multiple phone calls or visits to your doctor. Parent permission will still be allowed for diaper cream and sunscreen. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please speak to your center director if you have any concerns or questions. For your convenience we have created a easy to download and print authorization form that can be completed by your physician and return to NCA to be kept on file.
